Cassie Scoble is a Research Associate in the Hutley Lab. Cassie completed her undergraduate degree at Deakin University in 2004, studying Environmental Science (Conservation Ecology). She went on to work at the Victorian Department of Primary Industries (DPI) for seven years, primarily focussing on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) systems for control of soilborne pathogens in vegetable production.
Recently Cassie completed a First Class Honours (Botany) degree at LaTrobe University, which focussed on evaluating plant-derived volatiles as potential novel control options for soilborne pathogens of vegetable crops.
Cassie has also spent time working for a private consultancy focusing on management of insect pests in broad acre crops and many years volunteering for various not-for-profit organisations.
